Bonkubabur Bondhu is a science fiction short story written by Satyajit Ray. It is one of those stories that made science fiction famous in Bengali literature.

At that time, aliens were treated as enemy to humans. However, Ray wrote about an alien named "Mr. Ang" who was friendly to human beings. It is known that famous hollywood film 'E.T.' and many other films are inspired from this story.

Bonkubabu is an ordinary school teacher. His friends and students often disturb him. But he can't scold anyone because of his good nature. One day, he meets "Mr. Ang" who changes his life after that.
